THE ANALYZING V?MIK U AZR? MESNEV? OF L?M?’? ACCORDING TO VLADIMIR PROPP’S FOLKTALE ANALYSIS METHODKeywords: Masal Kuramlar?,Yap?salc?l?k,Vladimir Propp,Lami'?,Vam?k u Azra Abstract: Narrate is one of the basic necessities of human. In the begining, narratives that are oriented for social needs, indicates holiness, believed to give a power to listener/knower in the face of nature, have turned into texts that appeal further to the individual's emotion and thought world by time. This transformation is towerd from obscurity to known, from community to individual, from verbal to written, and includes development, change and advancement. The genres that emerged during this transformation are not disconnected from each other. Among these genres, the folktale which not assert a claim to believe, but be able to convince, is the narrative of all time. For this reason, it is possible to come across the folktale materials in the text of many genres, and the re-presentation of folktale that converted. Various theories have been put forward in order to understand folktale as a literary text, shed light on background of it, interpretation of messages, identify commonality of them. One of them is the structuralism which is one of the text-based folklore theories. Three schools have emerged by adapting structuralism to folklore studies, One of them is the folktale analysis method of Vladimir Propp, which will be discussed in this study. Vladimir Propp has examined Russian extraordinary folk tales in terms of structure in his book named Morphology of the Folktale published in 1928 and revealed that in folktales there were common functions alongside the apparent differences. Mesnev?s written by poets of Classical Turkish literature are texts that based on narration principal. Particularly in the double-heroic love mesnev?s, the difficulties faced by the lover during his journey in order to reach the beloved repeat with small differences in almost every mesnev?s. Vam?k u Azra mesnev? written by the XVI century poet Lami’?, is a double-heroic love mesnev? in which used folktale materials intensively. On account of these characteristics, mentioned work will be examined according to the method of the folktale analysis of Vladimir Propp
