THE EFFECT OF KINESIO BANDING APPLICATION ON PAIN AND FUNCTIONAL STATUS IN PATIENTS WITH LATERAL EPICONDILITIS: PRELIMINARY STUDYKeywords: Lateral epikondilit,a?r?,kinesio bantlama Abstract: Introduction: Lateral Epicondylitis (LE) is a disease with lateral epicondyle and dorsal forearm pain, tenderness, limitation in daily activities and impaired quality of life. Kinesio Banding (CT) has recently been used frequently in lateral epicondylitis. The aim of our study was to evaluate the effect of CT on pain and hand functions in patients with LE. Materials and Methods: Kinesio banding was performed in 15 patients with a mean age of 42,66 ± 6,15 for 3 weeks, 3 days a week. VAS (Visual Pain Scale) and Algometer to evaluate pain,To evaluate the functional status Hand Functional Disability Scale (DHI) and to evaluate the pain VAS (Visual Pain Scale) and Algometer was applied before and after treatment. Results: There was a significant change in VAS, Algometer and DHI after treatment compared to pretreatment (P <0.005). There were no side effects during treatment. Conclusion: We believe that kinesio banding is effective on pain and functionality in lateral epicondylitis
