‘Sosyoloji Dünyas？’ - The Official Journal of Turkish Sociological Association

Turkish Sociological Association (TSA) was founded in December 1949 as an agency of the International Sociological Association which was launched after a congress held in September 1949 in Oslo. Among its members were Hilmi Ziya ülken, Ziyaeddin Fahri F？nd？ko？lu, Nurettin ？azi K？semihal, Cahit Tanyol, and Nezahat Nurettin Ege. In accordance with its primary purpose of issuing a journal, TSA published its official journal under the name of ‘Sosyoloji Dünyas？’ (World of Sociology). The journal, which published three issues between the years 1951 and 1953, had been an important source of information about the writing activities in the field of sociology. In this study, it has been aimed to understand the journal’s content and its position among the sociological community of its time by analyzing all 42 articles published in the three issues of ‘Sosyoloji Dünyas？’
