Investigation of Gold Recovery Possibilities of a Polymetallic Ore by Using Falcon Centrifugal Concentrator

In this study, gold recovery possibilities of Yenipazar polymetallic Au-Ag-Cu-Pb-Zn ore was investigated by using a Falcon centrifugal concentrator. In the study, behaviours of gravity recoverable gold (GRG) and gold containing sulphide minerals was investigated in a grinding circuit. Also, effect of particle size and grade distribution on the Falcon concentrator performance was investigated. By using coarse sample, a concentrate containing 3 ppm Au, by using fine sample a concentrate containing 34,50 ppm Au were obtained. Fractional gold analyses of concentrates and tails revealed that fractional gold recovery of coarse sample was higher. Falcon concentrator performance depends on both operating parameters and material properties. Therefore, a pre-concentrate can be obtained from classifier underflow stream by using gravity separation
