The influence of the Nawbahti Family on the Development of Shiite thoughtKeywords: Nevbaht? ailesi,?ran,Abbas?ler,?slam Kültürü Abstract: The Nawbahtis were Iranian families who became Muslims during the Abbasid caliph Mansur and entered the service of the Abbasid caliphs. Family members have published very important works in the political, economic and social fields. It is known that this family has serious effects on the development of Shiite thought. Ismail b. Ali Nawbaht? and Abu Muhammad Nawbaht? are among the famous figures of the Nawbaht? family. Their works have been the subject of the lessons of the mutakallim. Hasan b. Ruh was the regent of the 12th Imam of the Shi'i-Imamiyya. They have translated into Arabic the works of philosophy and astronomy that have profoundly influenced Muslim thought along with their royalties. Among the members of the family, poets and poets were raised. The tendency of the Nawbahti to theological issues led to the strengthening of the Baghdad school of science. They had scientific debates on Islamic and philosophical issues with Islamic frigates, especially Mu’tezila.
