The Turkish Press in II. Constitutional Period as a Source of Turkish-Hungarian Relationships

Press, as an important source for Contemporary Age, was able to have visible effects on Turkish history at XIX and XX. Centuries. In Europe, press activities started much more earlier and had effects over important social and politic events. That effect was also usual for XIX. Century, in which ideologies were argued often. Because, after the French Revolution, almost all the world was under effect of ideologies. Intellectuals focused on press in order to tell their ideologies, ？n this period, many journals and newspapers were known. At that point, a partial freedom environment of Second Constitutionalism Period should be remembered. In this study, Turkish-Hungarian – two nations that have deep histories – relationships, seen in Turkish Press, were treated with examples. In that period, Austro-Hungarian Empire was the official interlocutor about politic and diplomatic relationships. Although in this study, especially how the relations between Turks and Hungarians found place in the press on the Second Constitutional Period is focused. In this study, social, politic, cultural and economic relations between Hungarians and Turks and the Turkish intelligentsia about Hungarians were treated with examples from the Period’s journals
