Virtual reality technology on the other hand, although completely isolates the human from real world elements and, creates an artificial world experience with virtual environments out of reach and safe from the danger of real life, nevertheless enriches the learning process. Foreign language teaching entails many elements and covers different skill areas. Thus, virtual reality technology can be used to teach these elements and to develop a person's own skills since it provides an experience that is close to first-hand reality utilising many sensory organs. This study, endeavours to draw attention to the use of virtual reality in teaching Turkish as a foreign language and offer alternative teaching methods. Research followed the descriptive method and revealed the many benefits in teaching Turkish as a foreign language. The evaluation of the available data supported the view that virtual reality is a useful and supportive learning tool in teaching Turkish as a foreign language
