The Entry and the Spread of Islam in Arakan: Historical Background of Contemporary Arakan

The main objective of this paper is to explicate how Islam came into the Arakan. Basically, this paper was chosen for the lacking of information about the Islam in Arakan in Turkish language up to the academic sphere. At the outset, it is to note that besides entering Islam in Arakan, it should be discussed that what the pre-Islam history of Arakan is and after how people gradually moved to Islam. Normally, the historians are taking their notes from the BC 2666 in perspective of 1st Arakan kingdom. Day by day, it crossed more decades by under some kingships. After the advent of Islam in the Arabia Island, it had been found as its expansion area in the South-Asia region like as for Arakan- firstly, by the sea traders and secondly, by the establishing of political Islam in Indian sub-continent under the Sultanate period. Once upon a time, Arakan was a Muslim dominated region, but for the misfortune of time, they didn’t keep up their authoritarianism and the Muslim solidarity
