Cost of Renewable Energy Based Power Plants

Due to the growing concern about gradual decline of fossil resources and the environmental problems, create a global need to produce cleaner energy from renewable sources. In this context, the number of renewable energy based power plants is increasing day by day. In this study, a comprehensive review of the costs of renewable energy-based power plants has been carried out worldwide. In this study, firstly, giving data of electrical energy consumption in the world, the final status of renewable energy sources in electricity production in the world and Turkey is shown. In the study, lastly, information about installation costs of renewable energy plants, annual operations and maintenance costs and levelized cost of energy are given
