A Study on the Flora of Some Natural and Cultural Sites of Kahramanmara？ Province (Turkey)

The study areas include D？ngel Cave, Savruk Cave and Ba？lama Lake in Kahramanmara？ (Turkey). This research was conducted between 2015 and 2016. As a result of the study, 86 taxa of 41 families, 77 genera, 63 species, 18 subspecies and 5 varieties were determined. 16 of the identified taxa are endemic and the rate of endemism is 18.6%. In the study area, the distribution of taxa to phytogeographical regions is as follows; Mediterranean (include East Mediterranean province) 20 taxa (23.2%), Irano-Turanian 9 taxa (10.5%), Euro-Siberian 6 taxa (6.9%), widespread 24 taxa (27.9%) and unknown 27 taxa (31.4%). The largest families in terms of the number of taxa in the study area are Asteraceae (13), Rosaceae (6), Fabaceae (5), and Liliaceae (5) respectively. The largest genera in terms of the number of taxa in the study area are Centaurea (4), Juniperus (3), Muscari (2), Quercus (2), Astragalus (2) and Arenaria (2) respectively
