THE IMPACTS OF THE SYRIANS UNDER THE TEMPORARY PROTECTION COVERAGE ON TURKISH LABOR MARKET AND EVALUATIONS

With the crisis in Syria in March 2011, mass migration of migrants started to Turkey. The impacts of the Syrians who are trying to maintain their lives by taken under the temporary protection coverage on the Turkish labor market and the consequences to be occurred cannot be predicted yet. While Turkey is trying to deal with its own problems especially in the area of labor and employment, it has faced bigger problems with the spread of Syrian refugees throughout the country. The developments occurring with the crisis have brought about a great deal of imbalances in the economic area. This study examines the impacts of the Syrians who migrate to Turkey under the temporary protection coverage on the Turkish labor market in the areas of unemployment, employment, wages, declared and undeclared employment. The problems that the Syrians face in accessing the Turkish labor market and their experiences in business life will be explained in this study. In the following section, the impacts of the Syrians on the Turkish labor market and potential future consequences will be evaluated together with the findings of empirical research and theoretical studies conducted on this topi
