COMPARATIVE ANYLISIS OF KURDISH OPENING FROM BEGININS TO THE END (2009-2016)WHITHIN TURKISH MEDIA AND READER COMMENDS

This study was conducted to compare the changes in the media and readers' comments regarding the “Kurdish Opening” between 2009 and 2016 in a comparative manner. The topic is roughly studied in three dimensions. The first is the emergence of the Kurdish problem in Turkey, and secondly, Kurdish opening experience in Turkey; and thirdly, the media's approach to the Kurdish Initiative and the direction of readers' comments. The third stage is the most original aspect of this study and at this stage, related news, readers' comments and columns in the Turkish media are examined. For this purpose, 74 readers' comments and 9 column articles were handled, along with the headlines of 6 national newspapers. Documentary scanning methods were used to obtain the data. As a result of the study, it was observed that the media and readers provided serious support to the Initiative Process, which started for the Kurdish issue, which has been in search of a solution for years. This change was reflected in the news of the media, the comments of the readers and the discourse of the politicians. All these changes have been handled and analyzed in a comparative and objective way
