Organizational Trust as a Predictor of Organizational Cynicism in Secondary Schools

The purpose of this study is to determine relation between organizational trust and organizational cynicism. The research model is the relational search model. The population of the research is composed of the secondary school teachers in the Kucukcekmece district of Istanbul and the sample of the research is 390 (262 female; 128 male) secondary school teachers. Personal information form, "Organizational Trust Scale at School" and "Organizational Cynicism Scale" were used to gather data. Data were analysed by statistical package program developed for social sciences. Mean, standard, Pearson Correlation Test and linear regression analysis was used to data analysis. There was a statistically significant negative correlation between organizational trust and organizational cynicism levels of teachers working in secondary schools. Furthermore, the regression analysis revealed that organizational trust levels predict organizational cynicism levels
