Examining the Occupational Anxiety Levels of Students of Faculty of Islamic Sciences According to Certain VariablesKeywords: Kayg?,Kayg? Düzeyi,Mesleki Kayg?,??renci Kayg?s?,?slami ?limler Abstract: Anxiety is a general term used for negativities which affect daily life behaviors of the individual negatively. Individuals with higher anxiety levels may feel uncomfortable and have interruptions in communication. Among various types of anxiety, occupational anxiety has an important place. Occupational anxiety denotes anxieties felt by the individual due to her/his occupation. This study was implemented for the purpose of measuring the occupational anxiety levels of students receiving education in the Faculty of Islamic Sciences, who are considered preservice teachers. In the study, data were collected by applying face-to-face questionnaires to 302 participants receiving education in Aksaray University Faculty of Islamic Sciences. The data acquired in the study reveal that female participants have higher occupational anxiety levels, compared to male participants. Also, there is a high-level correlation between “occupational competence anxiety” and “student anxiety”; “colleague anxiety” and “student anxiety”, which are among the sub-factors of occupational anxiety
