NATIONAL AND INTERNATIONAL MIDWIFERY ETHICS CODES

The midwifery which is a profession as old as human history started with the opening of the undergraduate programs in our vocationalization country in 1998 and accelerated with the opening of graduate programs in 2000 and doctorate programs in 2013. It is ethical if the building stone of every practice of self-government, which has many independent duties and parties. Ethics is defined as a set of behaviors that must be avoided or avoided by the various branches of the profession. It is necessary to have occupational ethics in order to protect and maintain the existence of the professions, to develop oneself, to protect its reputation. Although it is sufficient to have completed the formal midwifery education prescribed by that country in order to become a midwife nowadays, failing to reveal the ethical direction of the profession prevents the ebru's occupation and progress. Knowing the professional values and ethical codes in the midwifery will cause the midwifery care and practice to be more qualified, thus causing the midwifery profession's status to rise within the community. The purpose of this review is to explain the universal midwifery codes of ethics of the leading midwifery organizations in the world and to reveal the awareness of the midwifery codes that the various nations make unique. Universal codes of ethics have been developed by International Midwifery Confederation, Midwifery Alliance North America, American College of Nurse-Midwives and National Association of Certified Professional Midwives. While many countries have embraced these codes, some have originated these codes and made them unique to their own nations.It is noteworthy that there are many deficiencies in comparison with some ethnic codes which exist in our country
