The Views of High School Students towards Counseling Services and Guidance Teachers: A Metaphorical AnalysisKeywords: rehberlik hizmetleri,rehber ??retmen,lise ??rencileri,rehberlik,metafor Abstract: In this study, the perspectives of high school students on counseling services and guidance teachers with metaphorical concepts were examined. The research was carried out in 2017 - 2018 academic year in an Anatolian high school located in the center of Ad?yaman. The study group consists of 202 high school students which are 99 female and 103 male students at various levels. The survey model has been adopted in the research. It was collected with questionnaires consisting of two open-ended questions. Questionnaires were analyzed by content analysis. According to conclusion and results obtained from the research; high school students who use education, personal and career counseling services required to counseling services. Students thinking the guidance teachers do not contribute to counseling service with respect to solving their problems, perceive counseling services unnecessarily for the reason that they cannot benefit from the opportunity of counseling services. The other conclusion of the study; the metaphorical perceptions of the differed according to the situation in which the students had to see the counseling services necessarily or unnecessarily. Finally, high school students who consider counseling services as required characterized guidance teachers with positive metaphors, whereas others characterized guidance teachers with negative metaphors
