A Field Research on Occupational Health and Safety Awareness of the Health College Students

It is important that the nursing and midwifery students who will be under occupational health and safety risks and hazards during their professional life can graduate from school with complete knowledge and equipment. This is necessary in order to develop positive behaviors, to prevent occupational accidents and diseases. This research was conducted to determine the "occupational health and safety" awareness and "training and occupational accidents" status of school of health students, the results suggests that school of health students should take a course called "occupational safety and health" and their occupational health conditions should be monitored. The conceptual framework in the research was prepared from the literature and a questionnaire was applied to 236 students of the corresponding university.
