CONCEPTUAL F?ELDS AND LEX?CAL NETWORKS ?N BEH?ET NECAT?G?L'S ‘KAN’ POETRYKeywords: ?iir,Beh?et Necatigil, kavram alan?,s?zcük a??,anlam bilimi, kavram Abstract: In the human mind, beings are not independent from each other, and in our vocabulary, which is a reflection of our mind, language indicators cannot be independent from each other. This relationship between language indicators is conceptual field for the whole vocabulary and lexical networks for the new meanings gained in the context of a text. Removing the conceptual field of the vocabulary of a language, the conceptualizing of the language and the conceptualization of the objects in the conceptualization process, the conceptual fields that contain a work, let us understand the topic. Lexical networks in the text gives us the opportunity to make inferences about the emotions, topics and themes that are intended to be given in the text. In this study, which is followed by synchronic method, it will be tried to determine the conceptual fields and lexical networks of Beh?et Necatigil's ‘Kan’ poem dated May 1955. Poetry is rich in conceptual fields and lexical networks. The main topics identified in poetry are the vector, which is a sub-subject of heredity and inheritance through the concept of blood. The theme of the poem is the panorama of the creation of mankind. In this study, it will be tried to determine how conceptual fields and lexical networks play a role in shaping the topic and theme in poetry
