The Role of Career Adaptability in Work Status of the Graduates of Psychological Counseling and Guidance DepartmentKeywords: Psikolojik Dan??man,Kariyer Uyumlulu?u,Multinomial Lojistik Regresyon Abstract: The aim of this study is to examine the work status of the counselors who graduated from Counseling and guidance department (CGD) in terms of career adaptability. The study was designed in quantitative research methods. The study group of the research consists of total 289 people, whose age range is between 18 and 28, 83 of which work in their own fields as counselors, 88 of which work in other fields or do not work at all, and 118 PDR undergraduate students. Within the scope of the research, Career Adaptability Scale for Psychological Counselors, developed by Eryilmaz and Kara (2017), and personal information form prepared by the researcher were used. Multinomial logistic regression analysis was used for data analysis. The results of the study revealed the following; the possibility of working as a psychological counselor in any institution after graduating from the CGD increases as the career adaptability score increases, regardless of the type of university. Another result is that the career adaptability scores of the graduates who did not work as counselors did not change significantly compared to the scores of undergraduate students. In addition, while it is observed that there was a difference in the career adaptability scores of the counselors who graduated from the state university, there was no difference in the graduates of foundation universities
