AN INVESTIGATION ON APPLICABILITY TO GROUND PRODUCED MAPS USING PHOTOGRAMMETRIC METHOD IN TURKEY CADASTRE

Map and map based productions are indispensable bases in governing a country, planning activities, taxation of real estates and securing property. There are a lot of institutions carrying out mapping activities in our country. Although these institutions have conducted independent works of each other, they have provided data, which they have used as a base, just from General Directorate of Land Registry and Cadastre. Within the scope of the studies, map bases which have been used by institutions (institutions that carry out mapping studies in our country) have been examined and it has been determined that all these institutions in their activities have carried out the studies based on cadastral bases. Belonging to the selected practice field, cadastral map sheet which has been produced with Photogrammetric methods has been digitized and converted into a national coordinate system. At the end of the studies, an incongruity has been determined between current land and sheets which cadastre has used them as a base. Hence, it has been concluded that current cadastre sheets are inadequate, related sheets should be updated and renewed. For the new production cadastral bases, in terms of sheet standards, it has been understood that just a base for a cadastre has been inadequate, but cadastral map sheets should be produced with a unique system rational which could meet the needs of other institutions.
