SOIL SALINITY AND SAMPLE OF IGDIR PLAIN

One of the most important problem is salinity for farm lands that they do not increase as amount contrary they are lost as a result of wrong cultivation. There are different levels of salinity problem in approximately half of irrigated farm lands in the regions of arid and semi-arid and the 2 percent of Turkey’s soils, and the 4 percent of Turkey’s farm lands. Especially, it is obligation to protect well limited resources and farm lands against to world population which increase geometrically. In this study, formation, classification, sources, negative effects on plant and soil, reclamation and management of soil salinity, and salinity of I？d？r soils were examined and related maps were presented
