Religious Pluralism: Salvation Through Religions or Salvation from Religions?

Religious pluralism is one of the most vibrant and moot topics in the contemporary philosophy of religion This is in part due to the increasingly multicultural (multi-faith, multi-denominational) environment within which the philosophy of religion is now practiced and taught. The beginning of the 21st century witnesses that religious pluralism is one of the most basic challenge for different theologies of various traditional religions. Thence, religious pluralism is one with which all theologies are somehow expected to cope and deal. The aim of this article is to shed on light to the problem of religious pluralism with reference to the idea of truth and salvation in religions and to bring some remarks to the ultimate aim of metaphysical religious pluralism within the context of globalisation
