The frequency of Helicobakter Pylori in Patients with Gastrointestinal EndoscopyKeywords: Helikobakter pylori,gastrointestinal sistem,gastroskopi Abstract: Aim: The aim of this study was to investigate the frequency of Helicobacter pylori in patients with upper gastrointestinal endoscopy Material and Methods: Upper gastrointestinal endoscopes performed by a single surgeon at Tokat Zile State Hospital were retrospectively analyzed. The gastroscopy performed between December 2017 and May 2018 and biopsies taken from the stomach antrum and corpus were examined. The frequency of Helicobacter Pylori was divided into age and sex groups. The pathology results were (+) mild, (++) moderate and (+++) severe. Result: Of the 302 patients who underwent gastroscopy, 106 (35.1%) were male and 196 (64.6%) were female. Their age ranged from 17 to 87 years. 67% were 17-52 years of age and 33% were over 53 years of age. Helicobacter Pylori was positive in 60.3% and negative in 39.7% of the patients. 18.5% of Helicobacter pylori positive patients had mild, 18.9% moderate and 22.8% severe positivity. It was seen that 67% between 17-52 years of age and 33% of patients aged 53 and over. Conclusion: In our study, the frequency of Helicobacter Pylori was found to be 60.3%.
