SOME PROPERTIES OF SOILS THE SIDE OF THE 080 STATE HIGHWAY

The soil properties that we can describe as the identity of a soil investigated are very diverse, including physical, chemical, physicochemical and biological. The more known these characteristics, the more the soil is recognized and the soil is being utilized. Soil properties must be known in order to be done correctly land use plans and obtain the best efficiency. A large part of the studies and expenditures without determining soil properties will be wasted. Unconscious attempts like that will lead to degredations and contaminations difficult to meliorate in the soil. Soil is an entity that we cannot increase its quantity and at the same time, we cannot conserve it as a result of misuse. In order to prevent this negativity, we must recognize our soils well and carry out our works according to the needs of us and the soils. In this research, at the 24 sample points, 72 soil samples were taken 5 km intervals as cross along the Tuzluca-Igdir-Nakhchivan route, crossing 080 State Highway, at a distance of 0, 10 and 30 meters from the Highway, and at 0-20 cm soil depth. According to the results of physical and chemical analysis carried out on the same soil samples, texture, pH, lime (CaCO3), organic matter (OM) and electrical conductivity (EC.103) amounts were determined. Regression analysis was performed to determine how statistically significant the interactions between the obtained values, and were found correlations as negative significant and negative very much significant for lime and organic matter respectively with sand percentages; significant for organic matter with pH; significant and very significant for organic matter and electrical conductivity respectively with lime
