A STUDY TO DETERMINE ANXIETY LEVELS OF TOURISM STUDENTS

The purpose of the study, to identify the level of anxiety and the demographic factors that affect anxiety of students from Bal？kesir Vocational School Tourism and Hospitality Department. The population of the study consists of 104 senior students from Bal？kesir Vocational School Tourism and Hospitality Department in 2016-2017 Educational Year Spring Term. The survey form used in the study is composed of two sections. In the first part of the survey form, students are asked questions about their personal attributes. In the second part "Trait Anxiety Inventory" developed by Spielberger and Gorsuch (1964) were used. The anxiety levels of students who participated in the study were determined to be moderately. Findings from the study show that the difference between the anxiety levels of students and gender, high school education, class, internship status,average of grades and finding self sufficient is statistically significant, but it was not found that no statistically significant differences between in terms of the other demographic variables
