Fear of Crime, Immigration and Syrian Asylum Seekers: ？anliurfa Case

Fear of crime in Today’s cities retains its place in agenda as an important issue. Increasing illegal immigration, spreading economic and social problems cause the management of this fear to migrants. In the article which examines the fear of crime against immigrants in Sanliurfa, there is a field study. The extent to which the Syrians have a feeling of insecurity in the city, the dimensions of fear of crime against Syrians , how this fear is differentiated in terms of personal traits with reasons of this fear is among the questions that the study sought answers. The results gathered from the survey are not pleasant at all. The gap between Syrian refugees and the local people is widening gradually. Unemployment, decline in wages, moral deterioration, increased crime rates, crowded and noise in the city, straying youngsters etc. Syrian refugees have been charged in many issues, It is follow thar ？anl？urfa is a less secure city now with Syrian refugees. The main reason for the spread of the fear of crime in ？anl？urfa is the different behavioral patterns of asylum seekers, the increasing social and economic problems and the lack of communication
