ASSESSMENT of PERCEIVED STRESS LEVEL and RELATED FACTORS in UNIVERSITY STUDENTSKeywords: Alg?lanan stres düzeyi, üniversite ??rencisi, Eski?ehir Abstract: The aim of the study was to investigate the perceived stress levels in university students and the relation with some sociodemographic characteristics. This cross-sectional study is performed 405 university students in 2018. In the study, a questionnaire consisting of questions about sociodemographic characteristics and perceived stress level. The mean age of the 405 participants was between 17 and 28 years and the mean±SD was 20.68±1.53 years. High perceived stress was detected in 12.8% of the university students. In the study group, it was found that perceived stress were higher in poor health status, in chronic disease, in type A personality, in poor sleep quality and patterns, in no hobbies, in poor perceived family and friends support. In conclusion, educational studies should be conducted to reduce the stress level in the groups where the perceived stress level is thought to be moderate and high. This context, psychological counseling and guidance services in universities might be made more effective and professional support should be provided to the student
