From Metalanguage to Metafiction “Dil Kaymasi”

History of art bases on contradictory art movements` following each other. In front of the modernism with all depression it had and caused was postmodernism in 20th century. Postmodernism has showed its objections to modernism in all fields. In the present study, there is a move from the inclination of postmodernism on novel. The novel named Dil Kaymasi by Rifat K？rko？lu whose main contribution to Turkish literature is through translations has been analyzed in the study in terms of postmodernism properties. Descriptive analysis method has been used in the study. The conceptual framework and theme that determined the borders of the process of analysis forms the technical and contextual properties of postmodernist novel theory. The novel has been analyzed in technical (intertextuality, metafiction) and contextual (orientation towards history, fantastic, multiplism, detective, tension) properties.
