THE EXPECTATIONS OF THE MOTHERS FROM PRESCHOOL EDUCATION INSTITUTIONS IN VILLAGES AND CITIES

It is aimed to examine the expectations of mothers, whose children take preschool education in villages and cities, from preschool education institutions. This research was carried out in general scanning model. The sample of the research included mothers of 100 children, who attended preschools in the central counties and 100 mothers from villages chosen from the outskirts of the central counties of Bursa are the villages that are determined as the obligatory service zone. Within the research in order to determine the expectations of the mothers from the preschool education institutions “The Expectations of Mothers from Preschool Education Institutions Scale” which was developed by ？im？ek and ？vrendi (2014) was used. In order to describe the expectations of the mothers, who live in the villages and in the cities, from preschool education descriptive statistics and gender in order to describe the effect of living in the village and in the city T test and for the nonparametric sub-dimensions Mann-Whitney U Test were carried out. According to the findings obtained from the research, a significant difference was found on behalf of the mothers that live in the city among the groups, according to the mothers’ state of living in the villages or in the cities within the dimensions of their expectations from the preschool education institutions in terms of teacher, school policy, informing and total
