COMPARISON AND ANALYSIS OF TECHNOLOGICAL PRODUCT INVESTMENT SUPPORT PROGRAM WITH SIMILAR GOVERNMENT SUPPORT PROGRAMS IN THE WORLD

For technological products emerged from R&D activities, turning into commercialization and investment and becoming marketable and utilizable products is one of the most important indicators regarding effectiveness and efficiency of these activities. It is evident that R&D activities whose outputs do not turn into production will not provide added value and economic benefit and cause waste of resources. In Turkey, which desires to be a technology producer and exporter and to get out of upper middle income level group, because of lack of commercialization regarding R&D activities, Technological Product Investment Support Program has been launched by Ministry of Science, Industry and Technology in 2014. Main objective of this study is to give suggestions about amendments and improvements for the program, which has grown to a certain level of maturity in the course of time. In the study, similar programs in the world have been examined, then opinions and expectations of funded firms about the program have been quantified with the help of Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) method. Improvement suggestions obtained this way might be considered in legislative amendments about the program
