Solution proposals on Pamukova's agricultural problems: Specialization in production

The agricultural sector will continue to be important in the future as well as in the past and present, due to its importance to the livelihood and nourishment of the population. For this reason, the solution of the agricultural problems is a necessity for the continuity and sustainability of this activity. In this study, the agricultural problems of the rural settlements in Pamukova geographical unit were discussed and solution proposals were made. In the identification of the existing situation and problems, the interview technique widely used in data collection in qualitative studies was used. Problems were identified by analyzing the information obtained from observation, secondary data and interviews. It is possible to gather the problems in the region under two categories as problems in production and problems in marketing. Under the heading of problems during the production phase are irrigation, land use, agricultural input and support. Under the marketing heading; some problems such as fraud encountered during marketing, lack of product base price, and lack of sales cooperatives. It is understood that there is a lack of planning for production and marketing in the root of agricultural problems in the region. In order to overcome this deficiency, the effects of the natural and human factors on the agricultural activities in the field and their relations with agriculture were examined and the approach of specialization in agricultural production was determined as a solution proposal. In the direction of this determined approach, a planning was made in line with the agricultural structure of the region
