Mean？ng Issue In Poem

Meaning, which was seen as a message, a communication and an advice by some poets in Turkish poetry during some periods, has been accepted as basic component bringing value in poem. During these periods, it was anticipated that the poems should certainly tell an idea or an ideology; and the poems written according to these criteria were appreciated more. On the other hand, during other periods, shape was given priority by throwing the meaning in poems to the background, thus poem also was evaluated like other arts, but which of these applications is true? Furthermore, are there any components in poem that provide meaning? If there are, what are they? Is meaning alone a property bringing value in poem? Should a poem convey meaning? Is a poem written and read for the sake of meaning? Does reader have any contribution to revealing the meaning? In this paper, these questions are tried to be responded from the structure solving point of view
