Evaluation of physical activity level and related factors in students’ of Harran UniverstyKeywords: üniversite,??renci Abstract: Objective: The aim of this study is to determine physical activity (PA) levels of Harran University students, and to investigate some socio-demographic variable's effects on PA levels. Material and method: The survey data was collected from 10057 students who were studying in Harran University, Osmanbey Campus. When the number of individuals in the universe is known, utilizing the formula that is used in determining the sample it was calculated that 760 people must be taken to pattern. To 930 students, questionare were implemented which was including identifying information, anthropometric measurement information,a questionare was performed which includes some questions to determine some socio-demographic characteristics and ?nternational Physical Activity Questionnaire (IPAQ)- Short Form was performed for the detection of PA levels.In statistical analysis of the data variance analysis, in independent groups t test, chi square test were used. p<0.05 values were considered significant. In statistical evaluation SPSS packaged software was used. Result: Severe, walking, total PA scores in favor of men were found to be statistically significant between students. 30.4% of all students were very active. While 41% of the male were very active the rate of the female students were half of them. (20.6%) When the levels of PA levels between schools are analysed in terms of inactive Metabolic Equivalent (MET) point and very active MET point the difference were statistically significant and the highest averages belonged to the School of Physical Education and Sport. Students' total MET point were statistically significant between who use beverage, coke and don’t use, same don’t use biscuit, cake, chocalate and use them, for snack meal. The relationship between students'; body mass indeks’, diet, place of residence and PA level weren't statistically significant. Conclusion: Male students were found more active than female students.30.4% of all students were very active. It is needed to improve the environment for activities in cooperation with the University and more benefits should be obtained from this environment
