Change of paradigm that lead to a transition of topic mainly towards “culture” in social studies and intellectual life after World War II and intersection of new searches in theater triggered by avangards in the beginning of 20th century occur with the increase in intercultural studies during 60s and 70s. The cross-cultural theater theory and practices of Peter Brook offer a binary possibility to both comprehend the change of intellectual paradigm in the micro framework and to think about the role of cross-cultural theater in evolvement of theatre from text- based to stage-based theatricality. On the other hand, especially discussions following Mahabharata production enlightens paradoxes of changing intellectual paradigm.
