MANS？R？Z？DE SA？D’S LEGAL UNDERSTANDING WITHIN THE FRAMEWORK OF FIQH ISSUES

The Second Constitutional Era of the Ottoman Empire is a troublesome period in political, social, economic and military fields. Mans？r？zade Sa？d (1864-1923) is an educator and writer of this important historical period. The aim of this study is to analyze Mans？r？zade’s understanding of fiqh and his legal perspective by presenting his views on fiqh issues. After a brief introduction about his life and the period features, Mans？r？zade’s views of fiqh are presented in three main sections: The Family Law, The Public Law and The Law of Obligations. In the Results Section, Mans？r？zade’s fiqh understanding is interpreted and some evaluations about him are analyzed.
