Using New Developed Agros Software for Irrigation Management Purposes

Crop evapotranspiration (ETc) and irrigation scheduling calculations are required for many activities related to water management, planning and operation of irrigation systems and evaluation of drought. These calculations include complex processes based on data related to climate, soil, crop and water resources. There are a number of computer software’s developed for making these calculations in an easy way and correctly. New developed AGROS software is an agricultural system which has different modules as; crop evapotranspiration and irrigation management, soil analysis, water analysis, economical analysis, plant analysis and plant protection. Main purpose of AGROS software is decision-support for users about irrigation, fertilization, pest application and economical evaluation. In this study, theoretical back ground of AGROS crop evapotranspiration and irrigation management module was given and for Bafra conditions of year 2010, daily ETc values of red pepper were calculated and for same crop irrigation schedules and yield loss estimations were carried out for fully irrigation and limited irrigation. These results were then compared with findings of a field experiment carried out on red pepper under 2010 climatic conditions of Bafra. According to results of this study, crop evapotranspiration and irrigation scheduling module of AGROS system gave consistent estimations with experimental findings, either for fully irrigation or for limited irrigation
