Investigation of Strength Properties of a High Plasticity Clay with Kestelek Boron Waste Clay AdditiveKeywords: Bor at???,kil, kil pestili, stabilizasyon, serbest bas?n? mukavemeti Abstract: Boron minerals have a wide usage in industrial area. 73% of the World's boron reserves are located in Turkey. During the production of boron minerals, boron oxide and clay-containing wastes are occured. Due to the increase in boron production, the increase in waste clays, leads to the storage problems and negative environmental effects. In this study, waste clays from Kestelek Eti Mine Plant were added at certain percentages (10%, 30%, 50%, 70%) to a clay with high plasticity for investigation the stabilisation of clayey soils. For this purpose, consistency limit tests, standard proctor tests and unconfined compressive strength tests were conducted on the high plasticity clay, high plasticity clay with clay waste additives and waste clay samples. Test results showed that with increasing waste clay percentage, the unconfined compressive strength values of high plasticity clay were increased
