Tikrit During From The Middle of XI. Century Untill Mongol ?nvasionKeywords: Irak,Tikrit,Büyük Sel?uklular, Zengiler,Begteginliler Abstract: During the Xth century, Tikrit was a medium-sized developed city. It was handled within the al-Jazira Region untill the middle of Xth century by Islamic geographers. This evaluation changed with Makdis? and the city was assessed within the borders of Iraq. The city was taken from the Ukayl?ds and subordinated to the Seljuks by Sultan Tu?rul. The city was left often sh?hnas of the Baghdad as iqta. The city remained for a time in the administration of the Ayyubid family during sh?hna of Baghdad, Bihr?z. In this period, ?adi and after his death Najmaddin Ayy?b governed the city. During the Zangids Dynasty the city was left as ?qta the Turkish amir Zeyneddin Ali b. Begtegin, Atabeg Zengi’s great close statesman. ?bn Jubeyr visited here during his journay. Some buildings of the city destroyed by the Mongols were renovated before Ibn Battuta’s visit
