Competition Performance of State and Trait Anxiety of Taekwondo Players and its Relationship with Injury Status

The aim of this study is to determine whether the state and continuous concerns of university students dealing with taekwondo sport have an impact on their performance and injury status. This study conducted in 2017 in K？r？ehir Turkey Intercollegiate Taekwondo Championships 135 athletes participated in the race as volunteers. The model of this research is a mixed method. Spielberger's State and Trait Anxiety Inventory, consisting of 20 questions and applied in two parts, was applied to volunteer participants and data were analysed in SPSS program. In addition, the performance of the participants was evaluated by looking at the results of the match. The injury status of the athletes was evaluated through open-ended question. As a result, it was determined that there were no differences between the sex, biological age and sport age variables of the taekwondo players and the level of anxiety levels.
