Since its discovery glass has been used in various application fields and thanks to developing technology it is been improved. With the coating methods applied to glass surfaces they are gaining extraordinary properties and fucntionality. So, glass started to indicate more durability to external conditions (such as heat, light, harmful radiations and pressure). In the current study, brief description about glass coatings, historical development, various coating methods and applications with several examples and latest development are mentioned
