An Evaluation on the Syntactic Properties Proverbs Related to Horses in Azerbaijani Turkish

The horse has a very important place in all aspects of the lives of Azerbaijan Turks, who have a rich oral literature. Accordingly, the horse, which is a mount, is used in the epics, fables, proverbs, and products of national folklore. In particular, the horse has gained a significant sense of meaning by taking its place in the proverbs reflecting the Azerbaijani people and their national elements. In this study, proverbs about horses in Azerbaijan Turkish were searched and examined. In this study, based on books “Azerbaycanca-Rusca Rusca-Azerbaycanca Atas？zl？ri v？ Z？rbi-M？s？ll？r Lü？？ti” by Ilyas Hamidov, BehruzAhundov and Leyla Hamidova and "AtalarS？zü" by Celal Beydili and ？srafil Abbasl？, general information about "horse" themed proverbs were given; the subjects such as the definition of proverb, the themes of proverbs and the general subjects they discussed were mentioned, and following this, the general characteristics of the Azerbaijani proverbs related with horses are classified to give a semantic and syntactic explanation of the proverbs about horse
