KEND？N？ YAZMAK…

The purpose of this study is the introduction and evaluation of “Kendini Yazmak” published by Hülya Argun？ah under the title of Women and Literature at the end of 2016. Argun？ah draws attention in the first book of the series called “Babas？n？n K？z？ Olmak” to the fact that women writers can not get rid of being the daughter of their father, when she mentions about the story of women who start to go out to the public area from the private with the renovation movements brought by Tanzimat. She wants to illuminate the woman of the period with thirteen different articles in her book. “Kendini Yazmak” is the second book of the series which brings together sixteen articles of the author published in different places, provides a chronological reading of woman’s social and intellectual change. This voluminous book reveals the transference between generations in Turkish literature towards the woman who is able to write freely by reading and the process of self-writing of women, with the articles written on Halide Edip, ？ük？fe Nihal and Sevin？ ？okum who is a practicing writer. Argun？ah aims by gathering her articles which are published in different places in these books, both making knowledge accumulation and facilitating the work of the readers and researchers
