AN INVESTIGATION ON ORGANIZATIONAL STRUCTURE OF AHI ASSOCIATIONS

It is known that the Ahi organizations in Anatolia started to take shape in the 13th century and they continued their lives until the 19th century. Ahi culture tradition and Ahi organizations which are the products of Ahi culture tradition have been investigated in many ways until today. The studies generally include in Ahi cultural, connection between Ahi and Futuvvet tradition, functional of the Ahi communities and the effects on social and economic life of these. In this study has been carried out an analysing based on organizational culture. In this context, has been focused on “cultural, cognitive and psychological reasons” which form organization culture. For this purpose, Ahi organizations, which were developed and shaped in Anatolia, were selected as samples. Also, the factors affecting the organization of Ahi associations were discussed in this study. The main reason why Ahi organizations are selected as samples is that: these organizations have many mythic elements from the old Turkish belief system. It is determined that the cultural reasons in the formation of the organization are shaped within this framework. In the second case, it is determined that the existence of cognitive processes in human history influence to formation of the internal structure of the organization. These processes are evaluated within the scope of the cognitive and psychological foundations of the organization. As a result, in this study which is based on a study on Ahi organizations (Ahiyan-？ Rum) developing in Anatolia is analyzed belief and applications in the community and the foundations forming the organization are studied in context of “structuralism” and “structural functionalism” and these are evaluated with holistic view
