An Historical Approach to the Specification of Religious Men in Turkish Cinema

This article evaluates the “cleric” types encountered in Turkish cinema considering the historical chronology. The main findings of the study were obtained from the samples of Turkish cinema samples, including cleric characters. When we look at the results of the study in terms of the data, it is understood that the character of the cleric in Turkish Cinema can be evaluated with three different classification in three different periods. It is accepted that these three different classifications are in the form of “excluded clergy,” “narrowed clergy,” and “accepted clergy.” Especially in the years of 2000, it has been determined that the samples of Turkish Cinema allow the formation of different clerical typology.
