TOOLS OF EFFICIENCY IN CHORAL REHEARSAL

Rehearsal efficiency plays a crucical role on the musical achievement of a choir. A group of people can only generate the maximum output within the limitations of certain time and human resources, when they are utilised efficiently. Thus, rehearsal method is a collection of tools that has a tremendous effect on the working habits of a conductor and the results he/she will get. Apart from that, planning a long-term rehearsal plan for the corporate continuity of the choir and designing the content of each rehearsal so that the singers can get the maximum learning experience, are also important points the conductor should consider. A right way of using the conducting technique can help the rehearsal process a lot. Since the fundamental material of the choirs are human beings, one should not neglect human factors like motivation, communication and discipline. Lastly, the warmup, as an inseperable part of the rehearsal, can change the results of a rehearsal process to a big extent.
