The Effects of Nitrogen Doses on the Seed Yield and Some Agronomic Features of Coriander Cultivars

This research was conducted in order to determine the effect of different nitrogen doses (0, 3, 6, 9, 12 kg N da-1) on the seed yield and some agronomic properties of Arslan and Gürbüz coriander cultivars. The experiment was designed in randomized split blocks design with four replications during 2011-2012 growing season in experimental field of Nam？k Kemal University. Result indicated that Arslan cultivar have higher values for number of umbels per plant, seed yield per plant, harvest index and 1000 seed weight, then Gürbüz cultivar in terms of first branch height have a higher value. There were no significantly differences among cultivars for plant height, number of seed per umbels and seed yield per decare. The increase in nitrogen doses increased plant height and seed yield, but did not significant effect on number of umbels per plant, number of seed per umbel, seed yield per plant and 1000 seed weight
