EVALUATION OF MAMMALIAN FAUNA OF WIND POWER PLANT AREA IN SOMA (MAN?SA)Keywords: Biyo?e?itlilik,Soma,Manisa,Rüzgar Enerji Santrali,Memeli Faunas?,Rüzgar Enerji Santrali Abstract: In this study, mammal fauna of Soma Wind Power Plant which is Turkey's largest operational plant was determined by field and observational studies conducted in 2014-2016. As a result of the studies, it is revealed that 26 mammal species belonging to six orders live in this plant area. The mammalian fauna of Soma WPP area has been evaluated according to IUCN categories. Rhinolophus euryale, Mediterranean horseshoe bat and Miniopterus schreibersii, Schreiber's bent-winged bat are included in NT (near threatened) category; Rhinolophus mehelyi, Mehely's horseshoe bat and Myotis capaccinii, long-fingered bat are included in VU (Vulnerable) category. The other mammalian species in Soma WPP area are included in LC (least concern) category. Long-term suggestions to preserve the mammalian biodiversity are presented by observing the negative effects of the power plant activity. There are not any endemic mammalian species in Soma WPP area
