Acquired patellar instability and distal femoral epiphysiolysis secondary to Satoyoshi Syndrome

Satoyoshi syndrome, is a rare neuromuscular syndrome with postnatal onset and multisystemic involvement. Musculoskeletal disorders caused by painful and uncontrolled muscle spasms are important components of this syndrome. In this report, we summarize a case of Satoyoshi syndrome in a 12 year old girl with diagnosis of acquired patellar instability caused by distal femoral physeal injury caused by repetitive muscle spasms
