Developing Tests Drawing on Various Fields of Linguistics in Parallelism with CLT in Teaching Turkish as a Foreign LanguageKeywords: yabanc? dil olarak Türk?e ??retimi,dilbilimleri,s?nav haz?rlama,ileti?imsel Abstract: Communicative language teaching has a determinative role in foreign/second language teaching programs today. Communicative competence is one of the most important competences that are aimed at in teaching Turkish as a foreign language programs, and practices of assessment and evaluation that are a natural component of these programs are expected to be in parallelism with communicative principles. Therefore, an awareness of the various fields of study in linguistics such as enunciation theories, pragmatics, textlinguistics, and discourse analysis is essential in developing written tests, which are one of the most widely used assessment tools, since linguistics and language teaching are two fields that go hand in hand. In this study, the ways of strengthening the communicative aspect of multiple-choice items in written tests, which are quite limited in terms of communicativeness by nature, have been researched with reference to concepts and phenomena suggested by linguistics, and some examples have been presented accordingly
