Analysis Of Leisure Time Meanings Of University Students

The purpose of this research; examining the meaning of leisure time of university students. The universe of this research was composed of students from different faculties and departments of Afyon Kocatepe University in 2017-2018 academic year. The sample of the research consists of a total of 961 students, 488 female and 473 male students attending different faculties and departments of Afyon Kocatepe University. The averageage of the students are determined as 21.54 ± 2.09. As a means of collecting data in the survey, a questionnaire consisting of “The Meaning of Leisure Scale” and demographic variables was used. In the analysis of the data by using descriptive statistical methods, Independent Samples T Test, and one-way ANOVA tests were evaluated. It was determined that leisure time meanings of university students were at a good level in the direction of the results obtained in the research. It was found that leisure time meanings differed significantly according to gender, faculty, participation in regular physical activities. In addition, it is concluded that the meaning of leisure time of university students varies between faculties and regular physical activity. As a result; It was determined that leisure time meanings was at a good level in university students, leisure time perception women were higher than men
